READY SORB is an all natural absorbent manufactured from blonde sphagnum peat moss found in Canada. Canada has over 200 million acres of peat bogs, from which this unique peat is harvested. 

What makes READY SORB unique is that when it is dried to a moisture content of under 10% it becomes oleophilic (hydrocarbon absorbent) and hydrophobic (water resistant).

READY SORB will absorb hydrocarbons but not water.  When put on water it will not sink and will absorb the oils from the water.

Another amazing feature of READY SORB is that the E.P.A has three main requirements of an acceptable absorbent.  READY SORB not only meets all of those requirements but exceeds most of them.

They are:

1.  (TCLP) test. TOXICITY CHARACTERISTIC LEACHING PROCEDURE.

2.  THE PAINT FILTER test.

3.  THE LIQUID RELEASE test.

The E.P.A also requires that a good absorbent will not bio-degrade quickly when put in a hazardous land fill.
